안녕하세요!I am Mariana, the founder of Areum Society. I want to share with you a little bit about my story and how everything started.I went to South Korea for the first time to celebrate my 40th birthday. I wanted this trip to be a special one. After all, you only turn 40 once. I had always wanted to visit Asia, and I was deciding between Japan, Singapore, and South Korea. Japan required more time than I had off from work, and Singapore did not need as many days. South Korea just felt right. I knew I was going to have a wonderful time no matter where I went, but what I did not expect was how much I was going to enjoy every single moment there.I loved the food, the energy of the city, the kindness of the people. I loved that the streets felt safe at any hour and that the subway was spotless and always on time. More than anything, I loved how I felt about myself when I was there. I liked it so much that as soon as I got home, I started planning my next trip.On my second visit, I decided to try beauty treatments for the first time. I had never had anything done before, but I felt confident that South Korea was the right place to start. The level of technology and the expertise of the doctors I found there is the kind you do not come across often. I was not trying to look different. I just wanted to feel a little more confident about the way I looked. Caring for myself in that way felt empowering, and that feeling surprised me more than the results did.
